Hi guys and girls, i hope you can help me please...
I've recently taking up climbing, and i also play badminton.
My question is; what type of insurance do i require to cover my mortgage and/or bills in the event of me sustaining an injury (e.g. breaking an arm or leg) and not being able to work, as i obviously dont want to get in any sort of debt, or worse, not be able to pay my mortgage and potentially lose my house.
Seems over the top maybe, but i just want to have a back up plan, just in case.
Thanks In Advance :-)

Ideally you'd want to look at long term income protection. This would pay you an income, after an agreed "deferred period", for as long as you were unable to work, potentially right through to retirement for permanent injuries/health issues.
Many providers would want to exclude hazardous pastimes from the plan, however, there are some which will cover these depending on whether you've sustained any injuries from them in the last 5-years.
You should make contact with a protection specialist or IFA who can research the options for you.0 -
