My living room looks really wierd now - half tidy and half really messy! Definitely progress :)

*hugs* for roundtuit - I know just how wearing extra noise can be. Whenever I visit my parents they have the TV on loud all day and it really gets to me.

Thanks for adding me to the slinkies challenge Valli :)

Well done to all Slinkies. I hopefully got on the scales this morning and....was exactly the same as last week, which is pretty depressing as I'm definitely eating less and moving more than the last few weeks. Oh well keep it up.
    - went to zumba
-office desk is now practically visible.
    - December's "get rid of all old tests" is evolving; aforementioned are now out of the filing cabinet, everything else in the cabinet checked and labelled, and the old stuff is on the floor ready to package up and pass on to a friend.
    - Next 4 assessment paperwork printed off, tomorrow's is labelled and files set up in the computer all ready.
    - Mr N has spent a lot of time clearing in the garage as the rodents have invaded again. I now have wellington boots about 4" shorter than they were, with a frilly edge. THEY had a soft springy nest, having chewed a hole in the plastic box we keep bird food in, painstakingly nibbled my wellies and nested in the corner of the box. Also found evidence in the loft. Poison and snaptrap down, sorry but we can't have them chewing their way through the house.
    - filled bird feeders, lots of fairies around at the moment.
    - various, but not extensive enough, general house tidying.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

    Evening all.

Lounge sparkling and my ironing basket is empty. Both boys went back today and I skipped down the corridor at 9am. It is, however, a really short half-term, so that's a bit sad.

G&T on a school night (naughty me), a bubble bath and clean cotton bedsheets. Bliss!

No flying today other than dailies (me) and ironing (DH).

Home from tutoring at 8, humans fed (DH had fed furries) and I spent the rest of the evening trying to remove remainder of hair dye from DS2's hair.

He used a non-permanent dye on the first day of the holidays (with my permission) and it's still not washed out, so he's in trouble at school. We've used shampoo, washing up liquid and soaked it in vitamin C and it's faded, but not gone. DH (a barber) even trimmed his fringe a bit, but it's still visible. It's red and the school website states that only natural colours are allowed. I'm all for school rules, but they'd really do better to look at issues linked to learning. Rant over.

Bedtime in a minute. At least tomorrow is a shorter day.

Well done slinkies my WI Thursday at group

Not so frequent flier calling in
    Washer done 3 times

OH in another one of his power strops
Oldest at his MH team review tomorrow always a delicate meeting I spend hoping he says nothing that makes them want to section him. Happened once, so I’m super paranoid, forgot about this and the fact youngest is at collects for 9 .... only got one car. So tomorrow will be sponsored by Benny Hill
    Work hectic
Likelyhood of getting to Birmingham Thursday minimal but we’ll see

    Tomorrow ...lots and lots
I did our bottom sheet Sunday just the others to do so more time on the boys. Going to make them declutter a bag each. Oldest is doing well so far. I’ll declutter one from my room at Least too. Must take some hair out of the plug hole in the bathroom too and do another 4 wash loads
One day I might be more organised...........

Back talking to myself - I don’t get much sleep do I, I’ve been awake an hour mainly doing work stuff

Changed my slinkies target to 70lb which apparently is half the 10 stone I need to loose to make the NHS happy. Just been gathering some recipe ideas I must trawl the freezer see what I have in as it’s all just a mess of half bags and wrapped things! My hands have been sore lately so hurts to do it so I’m going to try to find some gloves. Need to defrost the freezer too as someone left it popped open again, seals not great on it .... wonder if I can cram that in tomorrow night

Right, more work stuff to do then get up when it’s warmed a little heating needs reset so I can face getting up earlier. I’ll do my bag to go from my room too as bin gets emptied this morning

  • Morning all,

Having a cuppa in bed snuggled up next to DS who is still sleepy therefore cute and quiet :)

Achey legs today thanks to yesterday's exercise endeavours! Today I have paid stuff to do for DH, a big pile of laundry to sort and the floors really need some attention. I will also be walking lots, aiming for 15,000 steps.

The kitchen was half done last night so will attend to that whilst the kiddies are eating breakfast. Right, tea to drink then shall dress DS. DD still fast asleep.

    Have lovely days all xx

I had to do this - it was Mr Dizzy's beard! He's shaved it off. I don't like it. I like beardy men. He says it makes him look younger. I think it shows his double chin. Not happy. Not happy at all.

Today is the first day of voluntary childcare...gulp...two extra kids after football training. They'll all be starving, so I've planned chicken en croute, chips, carrots and broccoli for dinner with HM apple and raspberry crumble with custard for pudding. Hope they like it :o

DH gone to work, pets fed, fire lit, lunches made....ahhh...I love being back in the house :D

    Cuppa now.
