I have received an email with an application form attached. I've saved the form. Now I want to open the form and complete it online and then print it off. I can open the form but cannot insert my details. Anyone know if this is possible. I used to be able to do this on my old laptop running Windows 7.
Would really appreciate any help - my handwriting isn't good if I have to print off the form to complete it.

Have you tried saving it before trying to enter text?0

What format is the form in? Pdf,word etc. Do you have software to edit these installed? Microsoft Office, Open office, acorbat writer etc.0

Yes I have saved the document and it lets me open it but I can't seem to type the answers into the form. I have the full Office 365 package.0

Is there an edit form option? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
as elsian (above) said - often downloaded forms restrict editing when they are downloaded and save. When you open it (in Word I presume) there is usually a banner at the top saying that document editing is disabled with a button to enable editing.
If this doesn't depending how technically mined you are you can remove any protection - have a look at

Thanks for your help. A friend said it was probably a PDF file and I would have to convert it to word to enable editing so I am currently trying that. What a performance!0

Someone has sent an application form as a pdf in an email that they expect you to fill in electronically?
If it's a job application then prepare to be working with idiots if you're successful0 -

Or, more likely, they sent a PDF form to print out and fill in by hand. It is not unknown that companies want handwritten applications0 -

Exactly, if it's not editable then do it the old fashioned way.0
