Car lease company not taking payments
I will try and keep this short as possible but there is a bit of info to cover!
Facts: 3 year lease £161 pcm £485 inital deposit
Never had a problem with the dealer or the actual finance company, they both made the right noises i have all the paperwork etc
I have had the car now for just over four months
My first month was supposed to commence 30 days after delivery, i signed for delivery after inspection and i was on my way. Albeit my delivery was delayed due to their companies availability over the august bank holiday.
2.5 weeks later my first month disappeared out my bank.
I rang and questioned and true enough they where nice enough to sort it out.
However they didnt send an amendment notice or anything of the kind explaining the solution.
On the date when my first month should have left my bank i was actually credited the whole £161 back again which i thought was odd.
My next month then came out fine, so i took the free month as a good will to their mess up.
Now upon searching bank statements they have taken nothing since!
My direct debit is still active but shows nothing under next/previous payment
The kicker is our credit club on here shows no active lease deal on my file - only the original apllication. With it being my first lease i dont know if it shows up as a proper credit account but i assumed it did.
What shall i do, how should i go about it and what shall i say? Normally keeping quiet doesnt help but also chirping up might get me stung for something even more and im not prepared to pay for their !!!! up.
Im happy with the car and happy to pay the monthlies and right now if they request the car back we are pretty much snookered! nothing in my contract mentions anything about if they breach the t&c's only if i do.
Anybody come across this at all or any advice will be great!

Make sure you keep the money you should be paying them and IMO you need to contact them, at least it shows goodwill on your part. its not a bonus to you, you still owe them.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Phone them on Monday. You owe them the money, and it's going up every month.0

You won't be paying for their !!!! up, you'll be paying the amount you are contracted to pay.
Phone and discuss it or you'll find a large debit in a few months and/or your credit file data reported wrongly0 -
did speak to them, took me until today to sort it out, they inadvertently cancelled my agreement.
They have reinstated it as of now and next payment due next week.
However they have also invoiced me as one lump sum for the outstanding amount which i think is a tad unfair, more talking on the phone tomorrow now.0 -
oh i agree, it hasnt happened like that though bad on my part i know but considering i was out of contract anyway then slapping a bill payable in 30 days seems a bit rubbish!0
