We're planning a week in new York, but it includes independence day. Just wondering whether the tourist attractions, shops, restaurants, etc., will be open as usual, or whether it will be a "close down" day as a public holiday or whether it'll all be expensive special events. We're hoping we can just carry on as usual with sight-seeing etc.
