I bought and had quite an expensive carpet fitted 6 months ago. It has worn badly and changed colour it looks terrible .
I complained to the shop and they said they need to come out and view it and it’s the manufacturer that will do something.. they will need the manufacturer to come out also to see it
Under my understanding isn’t it the shop who should just sort it or do I need to wait for them to get the manufacturer out and see what the manufacturer decides?????

They need to establish whether it is faulty or damage or wear and tear.
What exactly is 6 months ago as it is important whether it is within the first 6 months or not?0 -
It was fitted in June and I complained in December. It is worn in non traffic areas and looks awful it’s of unsatisfactory standard0

What date in June was it fitted?
What date in December did you complain?
It is actually relevant if you answer those questions.0 -
What do you mean by it is worn in non traffic areas? Surely if they are non traffic areas it would be physically impossible for it to become worn0

Pile reversal will be my guess and no its not a fault.0

After 6m, the onus is on you to prove a pre-existing fault, so the exact dates are crucial. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
