Comodo Personal Firewall - blocking my LAN Printing

I recently changed my Firewall on my laptop from Zone Alarm to Comodo Personal Firewall, but I cant get my printing to work (I'm using Wifi and the printer is connected to another PC on a LAN)

When I disable the Firewall it works ok.

I looked at the configuration and the logs etc, and I cant figure out what do I have to do to allow this kind of traffic.

Help please!

    Allow File and Printer Sharing.
  • hmm.. not sure if you mean to allow "sharing" on the printer which is already done... or is there a setting in Comodo I need to change?
  • Are you on a home network?

Are you using a print server? If so what is the IP address of the printer

If you are, open comodo, and add the printer to the trusted networks using the Define a new trusted network
  • Sorry... I must be really dumb here, but where is this option? I cant find it!

  • Double click your Systray icon
    Click Security at the top
    Click Tasks on the left

In wizards at the bottom choose define a wizard

Open up Comodo, click security tab, click tasks.

In the bottom half labelled wizards, click on "Define a new Trusted Network" and work through it.

I have had to do this recently after setting up printer sharing allowing an old PC to use the printer on main(Comodo) PC, via a Netgear RP614 router.

I just went along with the wizards suggestions and it works fine.
    Move along, nothing to see.
