Moto G5 Plus

Options
My wife's Moto G5 Plus is playing up, or at least the camera is.

Basically, it won't take pics, with a message saying something like, "camera not responding". I did a soft reset, no difference, then a factory reset, still no difference.

Is it knackered, or is there something else I can try? I've even tried an alternative camera app, but still the same!
David.

Sounds like a hardware problem and if a reset doesn't fix it I'd guess it' knackered. How long have you had it, also, have you dropped it?

You may want to test both front and rear camera with another application such as Skype to confirm the problem.
It is rather new product, and this is under warranty, you may want to repair under warranty.

In case, out of warranty, you may want to repair by yourself, if smartphone has got some impact (drop etc), it is possible to loose the cable, check the internal cable connection first.

I couldn't find a spare part for Moto G5 Plus yet as this is a new product.

Ideally it is better deal under warranty if any hardware has a problem.

I agree with this ... try another app that would make use of the camera. Even try downloading another camera app.
