Afternoon - I'm about to settle down on the sofa to watch Bette Davies in 'The Letter' short, not so sweet buy high noir.

I did a little shopping and now got a bolognese sauce bubbling away, some chicken thighs marinading in the 'fridge and the thigh bones simmering in the slow cooker.

Wood burner is blazing away and I've brought a bottle of wine in from the barn for later, it won't need chilling as the utility room is cold enough.

The new big blue bags were perfect for bring in wood though they hold more than I can carry.

    Right, telly time!

    Afternoon all
Weathered storm DGC :rotfl: They were as good as gold. They and DD have been fed and watered, breakfast and lunch, although lunch was more cheese biscuits, pate etc. I wish I hadn't bought the large box of biscuits now, they seem to be never ending, but the smaller one was only 50p less. Oh well I'll probably finish them off by Easter :rotfl:. Mr Fix It has just fallen asleep, he's hasn't slept very well as he has a bad shoulder and been in pain for a couple of days. Don't know what he's done to it but I hope it's not something sinister IYSWIM :(.
I have put the DW on and now I'm going to vegetate on the sofa with the TV remote and my puter :rotfl:
TA I hope you are on the mend
LaineyT glad you have found a new stables for Lulu.
Nelski many hugs. Isn't it lovely to be kicked in the teeth when you have tried to help your Mum (& ditto my Dad :( )
I have tried to remember who said what from yesterday but my brain is now addled, so apologies if I have missed anything/anyone.
Hugs to all the poorlies and also sending healing thoughts to you all.

Excellent news that Lulu has a new home to look forward to; when will she actually be moving?
Yard owner only has himself to blame - I assume he made the decision in a fit of pique? What a prawn.

Depending on when my friend with a box is available, think we are looking at around the 25th? Have started giving her a probiotic calmer to hopefully help with the move, she has been shunted around a fair bit in her young life and took a while to settle this time so fingers crossed this might help.
He is a very volatile person and is known for his quick temper, sorry mate but I had an ex husband like that and certainly don't need another one like that in my life:(
