My father died in France in May 2016 he had a wife (not my mother), property in France and Uk. What I want to know is how can I find out what was in his will or will it be dealt with there and I will hear in due course. I am not expecting any inheritance myself as we weren't particularly close but it would be nice if he has left something for his grandchildren.
Maybe it automatically goes to his wife? It's just I read somewhere that French authorities favour the biological children.
It would just be nice to know, can't ask his wife as she would just be angry that I asked.

Property in the U.K. is dealt with under UK law. You can search for a UK will here and buy a copy for £10.
