Hi there.
I wonder if anybody can help.
Within the last 6 months, I was asked to move to a new team, doing slightly different role, but probably not more than 30% different, and then recently that role (in fact whole team) has been made redundant.
I wasn't offered the new team role I was effectively forced into it.
Do I have any claim on Employment Law legality in this move?
Regards

How long have you worked there?Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0

You said you were offerd the role, presumably you agreed to and accepted it.
Then you said you werent offered it and you were effectively forced into it....
????make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Read your contract of employment. Chances are that it will say you may need to be moved between departments/teams if required. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Yes, I've worked more than 2 years.
The role wasn't offered ... I was effectlively moved into the new team.
The only choice I would have had was to leave on my own accord.
I can't see anything in my contract that says I could be moved between teams0 -

'any other reasonable duties.' 'react to business needs.'
Nothing like that? A mostly similar job would qualify.0 -
What happened to the old job?0

Actually it does say 'vary any powers and duties assigned to you'0

Unusual for a contract not to say this or similar. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
