Hi Peeps,
I'm looking for a nice B&B or Hotel in Whitby for the weekend of the 27th October just me and the GF. Can anyone recommend anywhere?
TIA
Chris.

Hi,
I've always thought that the white horse and griffin looked lovely. I can certainly reccomend the resturant. Their website is http://www.whitehorseandgriffin.co.uk/ if you want to check them out.0 -

I can second the White Horse and Griffin although it was a few years ago when we stayed. Rooms not massive but quirky and a lovely breakfast. Only slight problem is no parking outside the hotel so you have to pay for B & B.0

Sorry I meant you have to pay for parking (mind going!)0

Gonna be struggling it's Whitby Goth weekend that same weekend and all the hotels & b&bs have been booked up for ages !!, We went last year and the pubs were jam packed, great atmosphere but took ages to served.........Have a good weekend :beer:5k in 2010 member #80 - £217.00/£5000 :eek:0 -
As earlier poster said I think it's goth weekend so most places are likely to be booked.
Do you drive and are you intending going out and getting lashed and not been able to drive on the night? If you aren't then also consider staying in some of the pub b&b's in some of the surrounding villages, castleton, sleights, sands end, grosmont, goathland, glaisdale, danby, egton... etc.
If i see the landlords of the two b&b's opposite me (up on west cliff) i'll ask if they have any vancancies but I highly doubt it.0 -
Thanks for the reply guys. Looked at the White Horse and Griffin, does look nice but its full!!

B33r, I don't mind staying anywhere so long as it has a couple of pubs that serve nice Beer, and the B&B has a nice comfy bed for us when we stumble home, I will take a look at the places you mentioned.Did you manage to see the Landlords of the Hotels up near you? think you may be right in what you said though with it being Goths weekend..
Thanks for the advice guys (and girls)MARCHING ON TOGETHER0
