I bought a M&S jersey summer dress, royal blue background with red and orange flowers. Perfect day dress for my Greek holiday. £1.00 Air Ambulance
And a Next linen mix shift dress in a lovely summery yellow with teal and copper flowers on. £3.95 Air Ambulance (different shop to the clearance one).
They had one in a navy & fuchsia but it was a size too small for me.
And a Kipling bag - this style in a dark lilac colour. Unmarked condition, probably retails at £79.00. No monkey though. £6.00 from a small independent charity shop. Will possibly be my holiday bag.0 -
A guy on our local market sells Kipling style bags - I bought one a few years ago for my holiday and he told me they were made in the same factory - I though oh yeah! But - it's wearing well and periodically goes through the washing machine with no problem so maybe he was telling me the truth! He has lots of lovely colours and styles.........;)Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

I needed some new jeans, the last ones I bought from Asda (£5 in a sale) are starting to get a bit thin on the knees and one pair has a bleach stain on them. I had a look in Asda, and they don't make that style anymore !
Trawl round the charity shop- 2 pairs 99p each-bargain!0 -
Yesterday, I bought a Cath Kidson reversible folded messenger bag, flowers one way, green spot the other, striped strap which can be moved to the side you want, £7 new. These are £40 on Amazon.Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)

Dropped off my two bags of surplus 'stuff' in the Thirsk BHF shop, (in BHF bags!) yesterday. Whilst in there I spotted a large, heavy crystal candle holder but dismissed it cos of the price (£5). I seem to be collecting these at the mo....my last one cost 20p in the 20p shop in Otley so no way was I gonna pay a fiver:eek: Anyhoo, 'The Bloke' offered to get it for me in lieu of an Easter egg
Later I got an egg too as Aldi were selling their's oft cheep

Youngest DD (13) and I had a charity shop day today. Local town has 12 shops which we pootled round with a couple of coffee breaks. I got 3 tops for work (1x New Look, 1x DPer,ins and 1 unknown). DD got 2 jackets for £5 each. All the shops are quite pricey as it's quite a boho town and there is a lot of marketing towards 'vintage'.
Happy with purchases though and DD just loves bargain hunting!0 -
From the £1.00 Air Ambulance shop:
a pair of M&S grey leggings, look little worn. Nice deep waistband and deep hem. Will probably relegate an old pair to my gardening pile
a white Superdry short sleeved cotton blouse with a fine silvery thread running down it. Button front and a drawstring at the waist. Thought it might go nicely with linen trousers and a vest. My sis loved it so I might just wash it and let her have it.0 -
