1 Current account with 2 Debit Cards

Hi
My partner and myself would like to open a current account (no overdraft) in my name only (He is on a IVA) which we can use to add any spare money into and jointly share this.
Firstly is there bank I can open an account with, which we both have a debit card for and the ability to both access the app for this bank?
Can I order an additional debit card whilst opening the account?
Thank you.

Not to my knowledge.
If you were to order a new debit card, any card that had previously been issued would be set to stop working shortly afterwards.0 -
I agree, cards can only be issued to account holders, and only one at a time. You can have an additional cardholder on a credit card but not a current account.0

I doubt it. Only the account holder(s) can access a bank account - unless you break the terms and conditions. So if the account is in your sole name you might both login using the app on different phones, but it would be your login, and you would be breaking T&C by having given the login details to your partner.
Don't think there are any circs where you could get a working second D Card either - as if you asked for one saying you'd lost the first they would cancel the first. And if you said it was for your partner it would be against the T&C and they'd refuse.
You could, I assume, be naughty and set up partner with your debit card details on the androidpay app - so partner could use a virtual version of your debit card with a smartphone. But that would still be breaking T&C. And that might jeopardise your account.
The only way to do this legitimately would be a joint account - which presumably you've ruled out because of his IVA.0 -
Natwest - you open an account and then ask for your partner to be added as a third party. It remains your account with your own card and your partner will have their own card and access to the account.

I did something similar with getting a third party card on a lloyds account before we had power of attorney on my grandmas account, Meant we could legally withdraw and spend on her behalf.0
