Carers Allowance - My situation eligible?

I hope I am in the right forum, for some advice on benefits and my situation..
My father has just unfortunately been diagnosed with terminal cancer (lung and kidney) which has been devastating.
My Mother is also just recovering from breast cancer, and has had a mastectomy. (both early 70's)
My situation is that I am currently living at the family home, (due to a separation and divorce) with my parents, for the past year, and I also work from home currently.
What would be the situation for claiming a Carer Allowance for my father (as its terminal), or an attendance allowance 24/7 as I am currently living with them?
This way i could work from home, plus be around for my father and mother (who is slowly recovering) to do daily duties.
If anyone has any advice on my situation, and whether I could claim as a son? if that is possible, and eligible for anything, as I have never claimed for anything before.
Regards

First qualifying condition for carers allowance is the disabled person is in receipt of attendance allowance/Disability living allowance Care at middle or high rate or PIP? If they don’t have that then you can’t claim carers allowance. That would need to be in place or started before you can claim.0

The person needing care claims Attendance Allowance.
The carer claims Carer's Allowance.
Your father should be able to get AA (assuming he is over 65) under the special circumstances -

You mention working from home - note that in order to qualify for Carers Allowance you need to be taking home less than £116 a week.0
