I don't think these prices have changed and the cheapest Amazon voucher is cheaper per £ than the cheapest Mastercard.
A £5 Mastercard works out to about 15p more per £5 than a £10 Amazon one.

Apologies, I'd forgotten about the £10 amazon one.
I cash out as early as possible so don't check the higher value ones very often.

I've done a few of those £5 Mastercard things. You can use them to top up your Amazon account and you save a few SB compared to normal £5 amazon vouchers but with the hassle involved I don't think it's worth it.

First time you do it, you're prompted to set up a PrePaid Digital Solutions account and it all seems ok and I topped up Amazon easy.

2nd time was a right old pain, the links in email don't seem much use if you already have a Prepaiddigitalsolutions account, when you finally add the card, there's a danger amazon (or whoever) will do an Authorisation check on the card resulting in £1 of the card's value being temporarily witheld. Meaning when you go to add £5 to your amazon account it fails because there's only now £4 on the card!

I had to wait nearly 2 weeks for my missing £1 to show up despite several unanswered emails to the prepaiddigisolutions lot.

    It's a huge pain in the """!

I'd never get them again, rather pay slightly more SB to get amazon codes which always work with no fuss.

I've used the mastercards to pay my phone and internet bill for the last year, I find them really easy to use.
Only time I use them for Amazon is if my kids have taken £4 for steam credit and I pop the £1 into Amazon (I agree sometimes it does a check and it rejects the payment which is a pain, no idea why they do it as steam don't).

The problem with Amazon gift cards is almost certainly with Swagbucks. This is how businesses can order bulk incentive codes via Amazon:

Unfortunately rewards websites like Swagbucks frequently get into financial difficulties due to advertisers not paying them. I imagine like the types of advertisers that generally use these kinds of sites, they are shady operators and often do not pay up as agreed. I have seen many a site go under over the years. Hopefully Swagbucks is big enough and established enough for this not to happen, but you really can't tell. Hence why you shouldn't build up a larger balance than you are prepared to lose.

I've used the Mastercards - here and other places - to pay the electricity, and water bills, top up my Oyster card, travel with National Express and buy hobby stuff online. All without taking cash out of my bank account to do so.
Other sites that only pay in Amazon or other similar gcs keep my Amazon balance happy enough without tieing me to that retailer.

10SB instant...have you taken a mortgage. I said no and was over like that, presumably it has more questions if you say yes...

According to the oracle of all sources - Swagbucks is worth around $54m - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swagbucks

And its parent company has 3 other similar sites it seems!

I agree with the balance, ultimately its nice to cash out slightly larger sums, it feels like it makes more of a difference as a fiver goes very quickly but I wouldnt ever let it linger in there too long. Its always better in your hands then in theirs!!
