I think you can use the Mastercard just as you would a regular debit card, you get a 16-digit card number; I'm sure I've heard people use them on websites and to pay utility bills, for example.

I have never done it but I gather you can use the Mastercard on Amazon and that is now almost 10% cheaper than getting Amazon direct.
I've not had a Mastercard from SB, but I did get one a few months ago from switching my broadband. I went to Amazon to buy gift cards with it (it was £100) to put them onto my account.
What I didn't realise is that every time you use a new card, Amazon takes a £1 test amount first - which is fine, it helps to prevent fraud I suppose BUT that £1 took 2 weeks to go back onto the card so I could use the balance.
It finally worked out ok but was frustrating.0 -

How does it work please? Do you get a code or something? TiaThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I'll be making notes about the mastercard ... but I just popped on to express a sense of shock ... I'm watching Masterchef, and typed "confit" in to the search bar. And it gave me 75 points. 75!!! Wot? Very pleased, of course!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
