I have had an Alcatel POP 4 for about 18 months to which I added a spare memory card to run the apps from. The swagbucks alone have been worth over £300 but I also run the mobilxpression app which so far has paid £120 and earns an ongoing £2 a week.

I don't think I'll get another Alcatel. I just don't trust them now. My one allows a memory card but it doesn't let me put apps on it. I only paid £40 for mine so I suppose it's lasted long enough to be worth the money.

Have a look at the 8 GB Android 7.1 Voda Smart E8, on order from Amazon at £45 (or buy now at £70), and the beefier 16 GB Android 7.0 Voda Smart N8 at £80.

Both are locked to Vodafone, if that matters to you.

mjm3346's Alcatel POP 4 is still available, corrently priced at £60.

Here are comparisons between the Voda Smart E8 and Voda Smart N8, and between the Alcatel Pop 4 and Voda Smart N8.

I got the Alcaltel because it was available when shopping in Tesco and for the price (£50 + £10 for credit) had, at that time, a recent version (6) of Android so it should be able to run the apps for longer than phones with earlier android versions - if I was buying today I would want at least android 7 and price/availability would be the next factor - but I will keep the one I have while it still runs the apps.

(apart from the basic £300 in swagbucks the mobile apps have ensured always making monthly master and completed some extra squares on swagos, altogether probably worth another £100 to go with the £120 from mobilxpressions gives a return of £520 for a £60 investment - past performance is no guide to future returns but at the moment, by themselves, the mobile apps can return £15 a month in Amazon vouchers)

DO NOT GET AN ALCATEL PIXI 4. This is my newer smartphone. I've had it just over a year. It runs the other apps but it is so bad. It's pretty much broken. The home button doesn't work now, neither does the pull down notification bar. They keep adding file managers to the phone without your consent. And it keeps kicking me out of apps for no reason. I'm going to have to factory reset mine as it's unusable. I'm looking around for another phone but don't know what to get.
