Advice re plus.com phone contract

Hi. Can anyone advise on a mobile phone contract my friend took out over the phone. The company said it wouldn’t be more than £7.80 per month but he has been charged £57 for two months. The company is plus.com (plus net I think) and I think the bill was from portal.plan.com. He has tried ringing but keeps getting fobbed off
Sorry the details are vague it’s just what I’ve gleaned from a WhatsApp chat tonight. I wondered if anyone had heard of them and had any advice on how to deal with it.
Thank you

You can't expect accurate advice if all you can give are vague details.
Has he received written confirmation of the contract? Who is his contract with? Who is fobbing him off and in what way? Is he a sole trader or director of a company? Just plan.com don't look to be a b2b supplier. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
No idea...
He'll need to give you more info about what the charges relate to.
The plus.com website seems to link to PlusNet and they mainly do broadband stuff
The portal.plan.com one links to some mobile phone company (they list charges on another part of the site: http://www.plan.com/planprice.php)
The blurb on plan.com does say:As a plan.com customer, you pay a fixed, monthly contractual amount every month that will change depending on which tariff you’re on and which allowances you’re enjoying. However, there are exceptions. Not everything is included in your monthly allowances and you may occasionally need to pay a bit extra. This will probably be down to additional charges (sometimes called 'out of bundle' charges). Yes they suck, and no we don’t like them either, but we’re all about transparency, so better you know now than get a nasty surprise later down the line.
Soo.... In all likelyhood your friend has ran up some extra debt, particularly as this company comes across as the type which doesn't cut people off when they reach their limits....0 -
Thanks for that info, I will get more details today and pass on the stuff you sent, thanks.0
