Garage and driveway does it for me every time.loonybirdy wrote: »the 3 bed also has a garage and driveway, which the 2 bed doesn't...
Now you've got me wondering. I wouldn't want a 3-bed. For me a 2-bed would be too big ... so I'd be trading off "2 bedrooms to furnish/heat/insure/maintain" against "garage/driveway".
I think I'd move on ... and find a 2-bed with a garage and driveway

There is no point offering less than 140k, the seller has already stated they will not accept lower.
Offering 160k is more than asking price - thats a silly suggestion...
And dream on if you think you'd get both houses for 160k in 6 months...:rotfl:
Finally, I don't mean to be rude, but please don't bother posting unless its advice worth reading...
Is the OP a 12 year old having a laugh??? People who don't understand irony shouldn't be allowed out of the house unsupervised, nevermind onto the property market.Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0 -

Absolutely the right decision, and the garage/driveway makes it even more so. You've got something which will always sell much more readily than the 2 bed, and in a difficult market that could make a huge difference to price.
Good luck - enjoy your new home.0 -

 Good Luck!
As Doc N says you have bought something which IMHO is more saleable down the line - there are always those that will look for a smaller house particularly if they are on their own but others will always aspire to a drive and a garage (a subjective point, I know)
The key is that you have made a decision and that is the good thing.
You have bought a house now make it a home!!!Failure is not in falling down but in not getting back up again0
