Change of circumstances

I currently claim tax credits , and live in a UC live area. I need to advise tax credits of a change in child care costs ( will be paying £40 per month more ) - will this be classed a change if circumstances and move me to UC?

I must be missing something obvious, why would you inform them of child care costs?

It’s a change of circumstances but won’t move you to UC.

Because it would potentially change how much they are entitled to.
