There has been a lot of interest in the new iMac Pro that Apple have just released. A sizeable amount of it has been that it is both over-priced and lacks upgradability. To some extent I agree, however, the main source of unrest appears to be from people who are looking upon it as a machine to BUY. And many of those appear to be people for whom it really isn't targeted at (the consumers and prosumers). Personally, I work in a business where it would be deemed to be a work tool of great value. So I have been looking at lease deals to see what I can get one for on a monthly basis. I have found a company called Hardsoft and from them, a fully spec'd 18-core version with an RRP of around £13k (yes!) can be had for less than £100 + VAT per week on a 2 year swap-out with insurance (which could quite comfortably fit within my budget). So two questions: would you get one for your business? An have you already considered it, been looking at lease prices and found any great deals to speak of?

1. No - why would I - What can it do that a high end PC cant ?
2. Hell no - That RRP made me choke on my grapefruit0 -
Run MacOS out of the box. That's my ecosystem, as it is for many others in my field. As for RRP, I'm talking leasing, not buying.0

Im dumbfounded by the whole notion of all of that.
Good luck though0 -
I'd steer clear for now -
https://9to5mac.com/2018/01/02/intel-cpu-bug-fix-slowdown-for-macs/ - Intel CPUs suffer from major security flaw, fix could bring notable performance hit to macOS0 -
That goes for every single computer - whatever the OS - with an Intel chip in it (which is pretty much all of them).0

Yes it does, but I'd still not shell out for a premium iMac until the issue is resolved0
