    You are eligible, but you are not allowed to switch the First Direct account. So be careful. :)

    Presumably because by switching from FD to HSBC you may well not get the bonus! I honestly don't know.....
    It is always worth having a spare donor account just ticking away ready for a switch deal!
    Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

  • I'd personally open a donor account elsewhere and switch that to be honest. That £300pm 5% regular saver is worth holding on to.

    Gosh I hope you are right: I've done this yesterday! The T&C I can see specifically talk about being elligible if you have a FD account, but I cannot see anything spcific about the account you transfer.... ("*2You may hold a first direct and/or M&S Bank current account and still qualify.")
