Unsure of Loan - Natwest/RBS

Recently decided to claim PPI and instructed a claims provider to see if I had ever had PPI on any of my accounts - with the intention to pursue these claims myself should anything come back, - they did.

With Natwest/RBS i took out two loans in 1999 and 2000 and RBS have confirmed the amounts of PPI - however I have no recollection of taking out these loans. The time does correspond to me finishing university, moving back home and then into my first flat and starting my first job They have also given me 2 questionnaires to complete.

Do I request a copy of the credit agreement (which i presume they still must have) or plod on with the claim without knowing what I am claiming against.

Thanks in anticipation.

You're not making a claim. You're making a complaint about how you believe PPI was mis sold to you.

You can complete the forms with as much as you remember. But I would take a few minutes to try to recall something about the for circumstances, or your complaint will be very weak.

All the credit agreement will tell you is the amount, date and the terms and conditions.

Don't bother asking for the credit agreement, it's not going to help you and they don't have to provide it anyway - the accounts are closed I take it?

    You either
send a SAR and £10 to see what they have left before you complete the form and/or
Fill in the forms with what you can remember.

It's possible there may be no information left beyond that you had the loan because that's 18 years ago....
