OK here is my current usage based on my current supplier's web site (npower)
Elec 5980 Kwh
Gas 46950 Kwh
thus I went to Uswitch and Comparethemarket and they reckon I can save loads and based on an annual bill of 2100+
But my current bill is circa £1100 , but npower's best guess is £1,319.17 on their site
What the fuel is happening?

Ahh, I feel that npower's web site is pants, just found that my annual summary says I used 22721 / 2994 and using those figures I can get it for about 1100. No wonder that energy providers get slated in the media:eek:
If you read this sorry for wasting your time and attention, I guess it's time to switch!4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 + Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0 -

My advice. Sit down and look at two statements about a year apart and calculate your own annual consumption using ACTUAL meter readings. Projected/estimated annual usage figures on statements are invariably way off for a number of reasons. When I look at PCWs, I use 2500kWhs/year for electricity and 10000kWhs/gas. As we have gas CH, I run comparisons at 10000kwhs/year and then two further comparisons at +/- 10% to look at the effect of a warm/cold Winter. It can change the cheapest supplier. I also look at separate suppliers for gas and electricity as well as dual fuel. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
