French doors - wind coming in

Hi!

I'm having issues with the french doors I have in my loft, that open inwards.
The left one has no door knob, it has these small metal posts to lock it in place. The one on the right is a normal door.
When there's wind you can feel it coming in from the middle/top.

Any idea how to solve this? There are 3 flag hinges on each side but I'm not sure that would solve anything. I don't think I'll ever use the one on the left so an alternative may be to just screw/glue it whatever.

  • Can the compression on the opening door hinges or the latch be adjusted to make it close tighter against the gasket/weather seals?

The French doors on on our conservatory had a noticeable draft when we bought our house, the previous owner had tried to bodge it with some weather stripping. I removed all this, adjusted the hinges and no more drafts.
  • Possibly. I'm not very good a diy :s
I couldn't remove one of the covers to the flag hinges as it was raining heavily yesterday and the door needs to be open to remove that specific one. I believe that one was for lateral adjustment.
I was a bit confused with how the hinges work though. I was expecting something that I could do lateral, vertical and compression adjustments but it seems that there is no difference in adjusting the top or bottom screws (they seem to rotate at the same time).
  • Post a photo if your hinges. If I can’t help you somebody else will I’m sure.

The gap is the red line. It's HUGE on the left top side of the right door.

I can't post links so I removed the www
