    We are all different.
    I have more or less stopped comparing what I can do with what other poeople can do.
    For me that was not good.

    Well said beanie - completely agree!

    I get tired from just my work day so have resigned myself to Saturday afternoon as being fun time!

    These days nothing is better than sitting on the sofa doing what others classify as nothing!

    The exhibition sounds fascinating - I'm quite tempted to go as my great-great grandfather died on board the Suevic in 1903 (of natural causes) on his way to Australia. It sounds like it might flesh out the details of his trip in terms of what life was like on board (I don't imagine he travelled first or third class, so Titanic comparisons are a bit out!).

    Thanks beanie - yes, the weather has been brilliant, and we had a fair time on the beach - its one of those places where there's no marina, so the boats - leisure or fishing - are winched up and down from the sea, or pulled in and out by bulldozers, fascinating.

    I never usually do it, because my choices in life have been quite far outside the norm, but travel ... I miss it, there's no denying it.

    With the commute that you have, RT, I don't see how you can do anything else :( even when I was in my 20s, I disliked a two hour each way commute intensely!

    Your poor family, to have that happen! The exhibition did focus mostly on first class -design led, really - and then on third. Second class didn't get much of a look in! But it was really beautiful, especially if you like art deco.

    No to-do list today: it's really only one thing, making sure my kitchen is tidier and a lot cleaner :) there are so many half-finished projects in there its getting a bit ridiculous.

    Have you made it out of the kitchen KC?!?

    :wave::wave::wave:

    I made it out of the kitchen, but the hob still looks like a toxic wasteland :o

    80% of the floors in the house are swept, though, so I count that as a win :D and things are definitely tidier - I've even dared to approach my under stairs cupboard, which has become **horrendously** jammed over the winter. Not clear yet, but it will be.

    The victory for today was to go to the shopping mall in the big local shopping town - bits and bobs of travel, like, erm, a suitcase :D and a little travel padlock. And sandals with velcro fasteners :j:j:j like these https://www.hotter.com/gb/en/maisie-sandal?fit=&colour=White but with fastenings at the toes too, and at TKMaxx prices, not Hotter prices :j ie less than half that, £25.

    I'm totally chuffed, and now in hiding from the heat :D
