Sorry to jump on this thread, but what happens if on your tenancy agreement it says:
"Landlords Name C/O Estate Agents name including address" on your tenancy agreement, does responsibility fall on the LL, or EA, or both?

Landlord primarily, but the agent can be held liable too as the receiver of the deposit in a non-protection case.
C/O stands for care of.
In your case I believe it is just deductions, which is solely the LL.0
