Faulty EV Charger

Hello, I am a first time poster and long time reader so please be kind.
I am seeking some advice - I purchased a EV charger for my home in Feb-17. It was partly funded by a OLEV grant and partly by myself. The unit was installed and worked perfectly for around 3 months then failed. I called the company who sent an engineer to repair the unit and around 3 months later it failed again. Again, I called the company who sent another engineer to repair the unit. Last month the unit failed again. When the unit fails there is no power going to the unit so it does not charge the car. I contacted the company to complain and request a refund.
They have refused this saying that they "reserves the right to replace or repair a faulty charger within the warranty period - for this reason we must perform a like for like replacement where the unit cannot be repaired".
I am within my rights to refuse this and request a full refund?

No, but even if it was, a replacement from another company would be costly as you cant have a second grant.
Which unity is it? Just about to order one for the plug in hybrid i have on order0 -
As part of the refund to myself, I'd be expecting the refund to be made to OLEV too so I could re-buy elsewhere.
It is a ROLEC 32AMP tethered unit, naturally I can't recommend them
So in a nutshell, even though it has failed I am not eligible for a refund??0 -

Unfortunately it does not work like that, It does at least look like you will be getting a replace the rather than a repair this time.0
