Car issue with Ford Galaxy - Sat Nav (Touch Screen) driving me mad

Options
Hello,
Not sure if anyone would be able to help with this one.

Our Galaxy (2009) has an Intermintent fault with the Touch Screen Satalite Navigation System (It is a factory standard build in version which can play CD/Music, Radio, Touch Screen, Sat Nav).

The whole of the Touch Screen system works Intermittently for approx 15 minutes, it shuts down and comes back on for this duration (eventually it sorts it self out).

This causes issues with the Climate Control (so when the car is turned on the Air Con is switched on and won't switch off as the Climate Control section doesn't work until the Touch Screen system sorts itself out) and part of the trip computer on the dash appears blank (only the Trip Computer and Settings options appear).

The Touch Screen Sat Nav states 'If the engine is off the system will shut down in 1 hour'' (but the engine is running).

Reading around various forums it sounded like a possible software issue, so I have upgraded to the latest version but issue has not been resolved.

Any ideas ?

Or its the fuse from the ignition feed. Or a faulty wire from the ignition feed.

    Hi,

    Update coming soon.

    Thanks

I have checked the fuse (5amp) and it is OK (not blown).

What is the best way to check the wire ? (any description of which wire it is) ?
    Thanks
