Hi Guys, happy new year.
Just had a new kindle fire 7 , 7th generation.
Gobsmacked at how it loses battery life.
Even , unused, it will lose 100% of the power, in 24 hours, and reading, or surfing, only up to 8 hours, which I think is about right?
Has anyone else got one, and having similar times?
Especially when not in use?
Really needs to be connected permanently, it takes nearly 3 hours to fully charge from 0%!
My I pad lasts days if I do not use it, and my old kindle, weeks.

i have the previous version kindle 7 fire as a backup tablet to my main ipad. you are right about the ipad battery as mine was left on but unused for 3 weeks when i was away and on return had only lost around 30%.
the kindle fire however is different (it is massively cheaper also!) but my battery loss is not as drastic as yours. left unused on standby it will lose around 20% a day so after a week of non-use but in standby mode it would need a recharge.0 -

I prefer my old kindle to this, it has got too much on it.
Have to use them both:):beer:0
