  • Day 11-11/1/18. A quick check in-absolutely shattered!
NSD and a few more extra hours at work, so more money made today.
Been too busy to think about things today, just hoping it stays that way! Always seems to spring to mind when I settle down for bed!
  • Day 12-12/1/18. Great, productive day today. End of the week...at last!! Looking forward to a less stressful couple of days.
A night with the girls tonight, no cost needed as taking Christmas alcohol and staying over, so no taxi fair. Looking forward to a catch up and to not think about money!

  • Day 13.13/1/18.
I have spent the day reading diaries on here-wow am I motivated now!! Some amazing people on here, with such postives attitudes.
I've git an extra shift tonight, and in all honesty been dreading it, but now I'm motivated! 1) I'm earning money. 2) I won't be spending money. 3) I wasn't doing anything anyway, so I'm not missing out on anything.
Had a great night at my friends last, a little tipsy, but no hanger at least :-)
Going to sit down and hour before work, and go through my debt busting plans again-this does keep me motivated. Happy Sat folks :-)

Hi I found you and have just read how you’re getting on. You will have up and down days but every day is a step closer. Think about setting yourself small targets such as every £100 or £200 paid off. It’s easier to bear than looking at the overall total.

Anyway hope work tonight goes quickly and glad to see the positivity coming through again

    Good luck

  • Thanks motivated, much appreciated. Yes, think I will give myself smaller goals of every £200 etc. I've got a jar, so every £200 paid off I'm going to put a little star in-this will feel good. Doesn't take much to please me-especially if it doesn't cost me money :-) (already got some little stars)
    Day 14-14.118.
Another weekend shift completed. Thank goodness for this site, as I was so unmotivated yesterday morning, but reading on here really motivated me to go to work. I also plucked up the courage to ask for any extra hours going etc-it worked!! Picked up an extra 12 hours next week!! It all adds up. I know I'll be shattered next week as this is on top of my full time job, but needs must and I won't get out of debt sat at home watching trash on TV! Better to be out earning. And I can cope with a hectic week, as the busier I am-the quicker this weeks go, which means nearer to pay day and another chunk paid off debts. Also knowing working these hours this week won't be forever, makes it easier. I'm having a chill day today, so not done much-relaxing myself before a busy week.
Will start by a gym session in the morning-helps wake me up :-) Aiming for gym sessions 3 at least this week. Also aiming for at least 4 NSD. I've made my lunch for tomorrow with some chicken from the freezer. I need a few bits fridge wise this week, but will try and keep that to an absolute minimum.
  • Day15-15.1.18.
Only a short post tonight, as I'm absolutely shattered....and it's only Monday!! But it's a good shattered feeling, got everything I needed to get done today.
NSD-1/7 this week. Aiming for 4 NSD as a minimum this week. Think I will do this weekly-feels less overwhelming than doing it monthly.
Still feeling motivated on getting rid of this rock dragging me down (the debt) Everytime I see an advert for a loan, it's makes my blood boil! And I think, why on earth did I ever take any loans-well lesson learnt (the hard way) but never again will I take loans out-I will save, then buy!
One day down 4 days and 12 extra hours to go-lets do this!!
Won't clear the debt curled up in a ball feeling sorry for myself!!

Same here, I'm going to aim for 4 nsd's per week. Seems like a sensible target and if I manage 5 that'll be a bonus.

Yeah payday loan adverts are the worst, targeting those already struggling.

We all made bad choices. Otherwise we wouldn't be here! I hope were still here in December but in much better financial circumstances.

  • Thank you, Fatrab. Absolutely hoping to be in a MUCH better position in December. :-) Hope your 4 NSD goes well.

Day 16. 16.2.18. Sadly a spend day, needed shopping and some petrol £140! However, I'd of spent a lot more usually and this should last until pay day now-just! Still taking lunches to work, so saving a lot of money that way and makes me feel good knowing I've not wasted £5 or so at lunch.
Heavy snow in my area tonight, so was a rather stressful journey home, but kept reminding myself...at least I have a home to go to! How dreadful some people don't have homes, not that it's nice to not have a home anytime of the year, but seems to bring it home more with awful, bitter weather like today.
Anyway, my candles are lit, trash on TV-working the rest of the week until late, so a chill night needed.
Tomorrow, will be a NSD. Tomorrow, I will a day nearer to pay day.
Tomorrow, I will be a day nearer to being debt free.
  • Day 17. 17.1.18.
NSD today. Not much to report, plan on doing a little chart at the weekend to tick each £100 that I've paid off....love a good tick list
