You need a budget latest version -£76/year.
Think this is very expensive for what was a free budgeting app.

The free alternatives, used by many on here for years, are MS Money now unsupported) or AceMoney (still supported). They don't run education sessions, and they are less glitzy, but they are superb personal finance managing applications.

Having said this, for many people YNAB will be excellent value for money as they need the education and support provided with YNAB.

I’ve returned to free trial YNAB though not going to pay monthly subs.
YNAB works reasonably well when used correctly -by avoiding over spending etc.
    Haven’t yet found a IPad alternative -that’s simple to add/edit categories/debits etc.

If you're a YNAB 4 (aka 'classic') user then there is no need to move to the pay-monthly version, 'classic' still works fine.

I'd probably pay the monthly subscription, but last time I checked the online version is still missing critical functionality and there's a dogmatic refusal to consider adding it, so i'm staying put on YNAB 4.
