Wonderful start to the New Year OH is in hospital after collapsing this morning. I am still partially bed bound............still.

Happy New Year everyone.
Had a nice day yesterday - went to Edinburgh on the train with eldest DD. She had Christmas money to spend and I needed socks and some bits in Primark. We also had a lovely lunch in Pizza Express courtesy of Tesco clubcard....it only cost 55p! Then just a quiet night in, watching Bridget Jones Baby and then Graham Norton. Youngest DD had a friend over and then went out about 9.30. I've been down to my mam and dads this morning with eldest DD and now we're having a lazy afternoon. The whole estate is so quiet, not a soul going about. I could take the tree and cards down, but might leave them till tomorrow.....doing nothing is more appealing!

Rant alert !
Well my peaceful new year has started well, as I have already had an altercation with elderly neighbours new gardener. Why did he think it was ok to put her garden refuse in my garden, even if it was down the side of my shed and I saw him do it :mad::mad:. Didn't get the point that it was my garden as he said it would mulch down anyway. Red rag to a bull that :mad:. He did apolgise but it has upset me, as normally I'm non confrontational. I was having a lovely quiet day too !

After Diva left this morning I tiredness forced me back to bed and Ive just woke up. Hopefully ive caught up on my lost sleep.

Summer In Winter Qu0rn with roast roots for dins again, at Mr LW's request - it really is proving to be very popular!

Ronnie has been walked and fed, and is currently curled up on the sofa; the roasties are in the oven, and I need to go and get the Qu0rn fillets started.

NMLC......hope that mother is beginning to recover....can be slow in the early stages after a stroke.

Dumpling....I trust that things have improved for Becky.

Csarina...so sorry to hear that OH is in hospital.....he will be looked after well there so you must concentrate on looking after yourself and your recovery. You cannot be responsible for OH until you are healthy again.....nor do you need to be at present.....

I wish a happy and healthy 2018 to all my much valued MSE friends.....take care of yourselves.
