29th March.
I am in Oxford because DGD had a sleep over as Biggests. But now I am regretting it because I don't like driving in the snow. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hate driving in snow too.

The roads were clear luckily, although it took me 10 minutes or so to clear all the snow off of the car before I could set out. I am currently at Biggests, to collect Dgd. Been to Aldi for the food shopping. Thinks are still tight financially but I did manage to pay myself £100 today as I banked £470 on Friday. Still in both work and my overdraft so Aldi Shop was add it up as I go around to keep in budget. I have to get my finances back on target. I am still adjusting to not having housing benefits etc and paying more than the going rent to slowly pay back arrears from the housing benefits mess ups.
Such is life.
I am still feeling "raaa", stressed at life, restless at all aspects of things, disillusioned about my life in general at the moment. Can't keep positive vibes going very easily at the moment. Restless at night, so tired. It's a vicious circle really.
I just want everything to change!
They say if you don't like your life change it, but I don't know howWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Ref your comment about wanting things to change I can only suggest what seems to me to be obvious but that reflects what you write here.
- Give up your shop
- Get a paid job with a regular wage
- Use your skills to provide weekend courses/ evening classes
- Do occasional work at home (no overheads) like bridal alterations that are well paid.
- All this will give your hands a rest
- Regular income allows for budgeting and control of finances
- Gets you a pension!
If you stay where you are:
- You fall further into debt
- You are not doing the things you like best, just the slog
- You have to work forever as you have no pension
- You are not establishing yourself well as a teacher.
- Your hands finally give out, then what.
Just my brainstorm, of course.0 -
I hate to say this Mooloo as it sounds harsh... but let DS get himself out of his own hole, he's a grown man with 2 children, he needs to take responsibility. How is he ever going to learn to stand on his own two feet if you keep digging him out? Enough now, there's being a mum and being a mug... I do hope he doesn't treat you like the latterStrange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government0

Sadly I do agree with both of these.
£100 quid for working all those hours.
Not even the national minimum wage far less than the national living wage.:(:(:(
No easy answers for you.
You would be better off on benefits.
Harsh but true.

I can see why you are saying all of this. I can totally get it.
I don't feel very happy about failing. It is not an option I want to be in.
I am not sure what job I would want to do. Most of my life I have been self employed.
I don't know what I will decide but I realise that I am not achieving much except hard work.
I couldn't go back to living on benefits when I just got myself off of them.
I am not going to make any rash decision at the moment. I have a lease to pay for anyway for 18 months. I will need to read the fine print before I make any decisions. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I dont see it as failing.
You have given it a damm good shot.
For many reasons it was not successful at this moment of time.
I am not suggesting you go back on benefits, merely pointing out you would be better off.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
