I use credit cards everywhere I can, and allocate the money on my spreadsheet straight away in order to pay off the bill in full every time. Where I can't use credit cards (eg @ldi) I generally use cash; I will only use a debit card if I don't have sufficient cash on me, which is rare. I use cash at the F&V market stall and the Farmers Market.

There is now no problem with using your credit card in Aldi. They've been accepted them for at least a year.

I carry some cash in case I spent small amounts like in the market or small independent shops but most of my shopping goes on a Tesco CC, paid off in full every month, for the clubcard points which I use for travel vouchers for Eurotunnel trips.

Occasionally I'll use a cashback card although the cashback has been reduced this year from 1% to 0.5% so may not bother this year.
