Hi
So I have electricity going to a plug socket and when I plug an appliance in it does not work. I have checked with an electricity tester both before and after the socket and it detects electricity but no matter the size of the appliance it doesn’t work. Can somebody please explain what could be wrong as I can’t find the answer anywhere?
Thanks

What type of 'electricity tester' are you using? and what is the test you are doing?0

If all the other sockets on the circuit are working then the socket has failed internally. Replace the socket front.0

the electricity can get to the socket but if the socket is broken then nothing will work.0
