New basin, old taps?

Bathroom in my new house is being done early January. My bathroom fitter is off on his holiday at the moment so I can't ask him. And my builders have downed tools til early next week so I can't ask them either!

I have a new basin, 2 tap hole, with 30mm diameter holes. This is the link and the dimensions are shown on the tab.

I didn't like any of the tap options but I have found some lovely old ones in a local antique shop, they have a 4.5cm square base, a 6cm spout length and a thread of 2cm. I think modern taps don't have a thread?

My question is, as the thread is narrower diameter than the tap holes, will they fit? I don't want to make an expensive mistake.

Thanks in advance
