Hi all;
my wife booked a holiday to thailand for us for may and paid a deposit of £150 pounds, the deal that was advertised was that it was an all inclusive hotel and the paperwork theyve given us states this. i looked the hotel up on tripadviser and also its own website and nowhere is it mentioned about AI, I asked on TA and all replies said its not AI, I emailed hotel and they confirmed its not AI, could i cancel and get my deposit back?

No need to cancel. Write to the entity concerned, insisting on a full refund as the package is not as described.
The onus is on them to provide what has been contracted or to put you back in the position you were before the contract was made.0 -
What has the agent said when you asked them about this, who is the agent and is it a package?
The time to research hotels is before you book, not after. Nonetheless, in this instance if the agent cannot provide what you have booked then a refund should be forthcoming.0 -
Agreed that you have a right to what you booked, or a full refund. However, I would add that Thai food is wonderful and best enjoyed in small, locally-owned restaurants: there are an enormous number of places to find wonderful food in all tourist areas (apart from Pattaya, which offers nothing beyond abundant alcohol and paid-for sexual encounters). So I would advise against choosing AI in Thailand.0
