Hi my husband and son has just returned from London from football with a pcm parking ticket which states it is IPC accredited operator. They got a ticket from the barrier and parked in a space which didn't have a 'P' on as they thought this was for permit uses. On their return there was a ticket on the window stating they had parked without clearly displaying a valid PCM Uk Ltd permit? They have however paid for the time they have parked there and have a receipt to prove this. They was late getting there as they originally paid for a parking space via just park which had been taken by another car, when trying to contact the owner of the parking space they didn't answer their calls, hence having to pay for a car park under Novatrl. They didn't realise they were dedicated parking spaces for permit holders where they had parked as they thought the 'P' on the bays were permit holders spaces as stated earlier. Do they have to pay this fine? Any help appreciated as they have been fined for actually paying for their parking. TIA

There is no fine you have a speculative invoice from lowlife chancers, but unfortunately you will have to go through a silly process to sort things out.
Be careful the scamming muppets will try to trip you up as you have witnessed.
