I wanna go to the Lake District Next Week

Hi

Can anyone recommend somewhere nice to stay in the Lake District next week from Mon 22 Oct for 3 nights, don't really want to pay a fortune, however my husband has just got a new job and we want a nice treat before he starts his new job.

Thanks

Nimisha

    Hello nbirm

I'll move your thread to the 'Travel, Trips & Holidays' board, where it should get more responses.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

    Regards

    Hi Nimisha,

Yeah half term will be busy but you should still be able to find somewhere - we always stay in Keswick - check out the Stonegarth B&B which is lovely or Parkfield Guest House - both a right in the centre of town, close to Derwent Water, the Theatre by the Lake and pubs/wine bars.

Or you could try Bowness-on-Windermere - never stayed there but there will be loads of B&Bs to choose from.

Another favourite of ours is the Damson Dene Hotel not far from Windermere they have cheap offers through the week but the rooms are a bit hit and miss - the food is wonderful, however.
