Three Private Parking Tickets made into one?(Gladstone Solictors,DRP)

Hello I was wondering whether anyone could help me,
I’ve recently got into a relationship with a girl to find that she’s been ignoring private parking charges for roughly a year from Car Park Managment Ltd and has received multiple letters from both Debt Recovery Plus and Gladstone’s Solicitors. I have read the newbies thread and I’m unsure as to what to do.
From what I have gathered she was visiting her mums house for a week and was given a parking permit and a bay number to park in, she did this. Forward a month later and she had managed to get 4 parking tickets which were not placed on the windscreen but were sent thought the post.
She has recently paid £286.86 to Gladstone Solicitors through the post as I had found that she had been given a court judgment for not replying to the claim form. I presume this has been resolved but we had only sent it off via recorded post 2 days ago.
Now the other three tickets she has received are for £149 and has received numerous debt collector letters from this. And then suddenly there was one for £447! It has a different reference number to the previous three and I’m presuming it’s all three of them added together (149*3=447).
She had received the court claim from Gladstone Solicitors and I believe she has sent off the reply slip for extra time but I am unsure of the date of the court claim as she is unable to find the letter.
Am I right in presuming that paying the £447 will satisfy the previous letters? I don’t want to pay the £447 and then find out she’s going to get chased for the other £149 charges. The only reason as to why this is a thought in my mind is that they all have different reference numbers and the £447 one was delievered before another £149 one arrived, which had the same reference number as one of the previous.
Any advice is greatly appreciated and I humbly await any reply
(P.s I know she’s an idiot to ignore the tickets and the court claim, she thought it was a scam as she displayed a permit and didn’t do anything wrong. And I know she should of appealed if this was the case but I didn’t know her at the time as this was under 11 months ago).
Thankyou

I have I really have and it mentions nothing about them joining the costs of multiple parking tickets together ( or from what I can see).
I’d just like to point out that we are not willing to go to court over this and simply just wish to pay them, as neither of us have the time nor the experience to deal with it.
Both of us are really stressed about this and I just want some clarity on whether we will continue to get chased on another two tickets or if they’ve just combined them and we can just pay this and get it over with.0 -

Oh dear.
Sorry but I'm out; if you aren't willing to challenge it and want to send money down a drain. That's not what we do here.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I know, I’ve only recently met her and from my knowledge she hasn’t replied to county court claim that came through the post that she had lost, so a judgment is imminent it would seem.
I was unaware of stage at which this was at and quite simply the thought of going to court and being both shy/timid and not legal savvy we are not prepared to do it and wouldn’t feel comfortable doing so.0 -
I only wanted to know whether Solicitors are known to combine the charges of parking tickets into a lump sum and take multiple out in one go.0

All right, here's some advice:
Try enlisting the help of her MP, to make a robust complaint for her. Sit down and tell the MP what she is facing and how scared you both are, when all she did was visit her Mum and displayed a permit, it's not a crime and doesn't cost a 4 figure sum, even for timid people.
Don't be victims, it's not good in life to be bullied/ripped off and you will never learn from it if you run away, and she will NEVER be able to visit her Mum safely as her car will be on a mugs' list (she does realise that by paying, they will now target her car, as she is seen as a victim who will stump up money for any reason?).
Only if she paid within 30 days of the CCJ date. She has recently paid £286.86 to Gladstone Solicitors through the post as I had found that she had been given a court judgment for not replying to the claim form. I presume this has been resolved but we had only sent it off via recorded post 2 days ago.
So does she have the claim number? Why not just put in a defence based on the example 'own space' defence in the NEWBIES thread, as it's her Mum's permitted visitor space? Now the other three tickets she has received are for £149 and has received numerous debt collector letters from this. And then suddenly there was one for £447! It has a different reference number to the previous three and I’m presuming it’s all three of them added together (149*3=447).

And get that meeting with her MP, it will help.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Okay thankyou! I will contact our local MP and make a complaint.
Well we have sent a letter to the Solicitors payment delivery address that was on the register form stating the claim number and reference with a cheque named to the solicitors for the money that was stated on the form for £286. If this is not accepted I’m unsure as to what to do next
As for the claim number she does not know it as she doesn’t have the form. And she is currently not on talking terms with her mother(who no longer lives at the location) and we’ve tried to contact her for any of the lease agreements or proof that she can she was allowed to park there.
I really appreciate the advice, although it may go against what you fight for but some of us just don’t want the stress of dealing with these kinds of things.0 -
No, it’s more - if it isn’t within one month of judgement date, which you know and we don’t, then the ccj remains on the file. If gladstones don’t tell the court it’s been paid within the month, then the ccj stays on the file (as satisfied, but still ruins credit)
Stop being victims. It’s filling out a few forms, doing some reading, and at a hearing sitting in a room with two people in suits. That’s it basically.0 -
Hey there,
Just an update, she’s sent a cheque through registered post for £268 with a letter attached to Gladstone’s stating the claim no. And Gladstone Reference with a line saying ‘This is the final amount to be paid and will be seen as satisfied, please notify the court of this payment so it is seen as satisfied or send a receipt to the sending address’. If they don’t notify the court we’ll just send a letter with proof of payment and hope they mark it as satisfied on the system.
Hopefully this goes smoothly.
As for the £447 one, yes it was three tickets combined however, since risen to £580 as court costs and legal rep costs have been added upon it. The date on the court claim was early August 2017 and we’ve logged onto the money claim online and hasn’t been progressed to a judgment. I’m unsure as to what to do with this claim as it hasn’t been update since August and nothing has been received through the post about it.
As for the advice to contact the local mp, she wasn’t very helpful. We had contacted her stating that my girlfriend had received multiple letters through the post from debt collectors through a private parking fine. When all she did was correctly parked at her mothers house and displayed a permit. this has since progressed to a court claim and she is very scared and unsure as to what to do.
Then asking if we can arrange a meeting to discuss this in person to create a complaint to the correct person.
We got a reply saying that it is beyond her capabilities as an mp and has no power over any court claims and the final judgment made against you. Then referred us onto citizens advice... *sigh*
Thankyou again for continuing to help!0
