Thunderbird email stuck in a groundhog day loop!

Please can someone hlp me. I have a Google alert set up and it drops an email into my inbox on Thunderbird.

For some reason I am getting the same email delivered every minute or so with Dec 28th 09:38 as the date.

It's like being stuck in a google deja vu loop.

It also means I don't receive any new emails which is a problem.

Hopefully it's an easy fix but I can't work it out.

Bit of a puzzle given the lack of information....Option 1. Cancel the Google alert 2. Switch off wifi (or unplug the cable to router), run Thunderbird and check you haven't created the message loop by looking under Tools -> Message Filters.

Try to disable the alert (or delete) and refresh your emails ?
