False window/light box for dark end of room

We’ve got a dark end of the kitchen that is windowless and it’s quite a long wall (borders our neighbours but isn’t party wall).
Has anyone experience of the false windows/light boxes that are fitted into the wall with a surround to look like a view or give extra light to a boring wall?
