T-Mobile took money from my Credit Card!

Hi All,

I think I may be being slightly paranoid, but a few months ago I noticed on my CC statement that T-Mobile have taken out £2.00 and then immediately put it back in. Now i've never given them my credit card details but I do have a T-Mobile phone.

I'm just a bit concerned (after reading another thread on here) that it could be a fraudster 'testing' my credit card?

I found this about the £2.00 charge/refund

http://www.t-mobilepressoffice.co.uk/press/uk-releases/release.php?release=uk/2005/02-02-05-filtering_service.htm

But I have never provided t-mobile with my details!

If anyone else has had this, let me know. Gemz x

When you signed up for your phone you would have given the number as part of your application. They apply the charge to check the authenticity of the card x
    Gone ... or have I?

Call T mobile and ask them if they did it

If not cancel the card as someone may well have tried to test the card

Neither of the above are correct. You at some point started using the T-Mobile Web & Walk service which blocks 'adult' sites (and ones that are patently non-adult eg facebook etc). To 'confirm your age' they ask for a credit card which they take £2 from then refund it. This is displayed when you use the facility.

I think both replies could potentially be correct. However, either way, it goes to show what I've always said: T-Mobile is simply Trash Mobile. Avoid at all cost.
