Another 2 bags to the charity shop on Friday. I was particularly happy to get rid of a bag full of peppa pig toys which my son has grown out of as they were such annoying badly-made tat. The little figures didn't fit properly into anything and broke easily which was really frustrating for a 3 year old to play with. Thankfully they'd mostly been hand me downs from a kind friend so we didn't spend money on them in the first place!
The second bag was some books of mine that I'll never read again - I struggle giving up books so that was a little win as well.
I'm up to 12 bags gone in total now. Lots still to do but I'm making progress!0 -
8/52 - another one that doesn't seem like much but I'm very pleased with. Shirt sold and posted.

Hi All
Thanks for everyone's lovely welcome.
My lovely PA Sonia has today helped me put 5 shelves into my 2 bedroom bookcases. I assembled the frames with a friend last August when I had annual leave but have not had the energy since then to actually start using them. Hopefully we will get to finish putting the rest of the shelves in them tomorrow and will be able to unpack and sort a few more boxes and display more of my collections on the shelves. This will declutter my home in 2 ways the shelves will no longer be propped against the lounge wall and boxes will be emptied of stuff at long last.
So now the large plastic washing full of my snow globe collection and other bits n pieces has been emptied and now 1 shelf is proudly showing them all. I found loads of pretty candles (displayed on another shelf) and I'm determined to use them (1 lit now) as I don't want a repeat of the pen scenario - talking of which 1 decorative butterfly which I've never used was found broken in the basket :-( I wonder how many other things I'm going to find in my sorting that will have to be binned without ever having had the enjoyment of using them. My 2 health/medicine baskets have got a proper home on the bookcase and the pen that I dropped (that started this all off) has been retrieved and works :-)
So 3 bits of paper into the recycling bin
1 empty box (why do I keep hold of these things it was too small to be used to store anything in) into the recycling bin
1 child's toy 'mirror' that was very ratty and missing decorative bits which I remember buying about 20 years ago to give as a gift to a friend's child (who is now an adult) that obviously I forgot about - had to go in the waste bin - are we all spotting a pattern here!!!
Total now 20/2018I am disabled 11 years with CFS/ME and also have problems with my working memory0 -
Yesterday I messaged to bin a few items : old suncream and make up I don't use. Today I took another bag of kids books to the cs so I'm up to 13 bags full now.
Along the way I've been finding loads of bits of tat that have come in party bags when my son's been to parties and they've been binned. Ditto a lot of his artwork - he brings some home every day from school and produces loads at home too so I had to get tough.
Feeling positive - every thing that goes is a tiny bit of weight lifting off my shoulders.0
