Since the start of the electronic declutter on Friday I've not been able to sign into my emails :(.

1 old holiday diary - recycling
1 pile Christmas paper hats - recycling

    Running total 67/2018

I am now in the habit of reading something off the reading pile whilst eating breakfast instead of mooching on internet so once I have read the more recent arrivals I can make a start into the backlog later this week.
    Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅
  • Thanks for the tip-I went through the beauty stuff and now
98 bag of samples to the CS( they give them out as free presents to customers!
99lot of old nailvarnish to toxic waste bin at dump
    100cardboardbox to recycling
100 another box and DH has promised to look at stack of removal boxes in garage
101 one cashmere jumper that no longer fits to CS
102 pile of d!cor magazines to CS
Like Ms. Uncluttered unicorn I cant stand waste and a friend who was moving house told me and a mate with a similar view that she was leaving loads of what she couldn't be bothered to shift that we could poke around and keep anything that took our fancy and you can all guess what happened. I did try to be very very choosy.....
On the plus side I am reusing a very nice jute tote bag as a home for those items I find during the week. See you all soon.

    tboo, well done!

Poor day for me on the decluttering front (but did do quite a bit of baking & cooking)

1405 Plastic Milk Carton washed & recycled
1406 Empty flour packet used as a Bin & then binned
1407 Multi buy packaging binned/recycled as appropriate
    1408 Plastic vegetable bags binned
    1409 F&V peelings composted

All our clothes are gradually making their way downstairs for a full declutter - my DH’s pile is twice the size of mine at the moment:rotfl:

Did a few odd jobs around the house today.
Continuing the clean/sort/declutter of kitchen cabinets, today I worked on the under-sink cupboard.
I then sorted out the wall of stuff in my front room.I set aside a few things for donation-hopefully within the next few days. There were also a few thigs I was able to put out for recycling.
Then I sorted through papers.First I put out for recycling,a bundle of old instructions for toys, some of which left the house yeaaaaaars ago. Then I sorted through papers in my filing cabinet. When I am decluttering paper,I usually count 1 inch depth of paper as "1",on my count.Ths was 1.5 inches of paper in all.I will be counting as 2,just for the amount of decision-making I need to do when it comes to papers :rotfl::rotfl:.
So,out of the house today, mostly for recycling:
    334-336:3 pairs of old tights
337-339:3 funnels used for funnelling salt into dishwasher.Obviously kept from the last few Dwashers I have owned, and I never use them,so out they go
340:sink liner, used to stop sink getting scratched.I used it fore a few months after our new kitchen extension, but it really did get in the way.Still kept it under the sink, though :o.
    341:bits of odd rubbish
    342-343:odd shoes(Scooby Doo boy's slipper,Build-a-bear workshop shoe),out for recycling
    344-345:paper pile,recycled
    SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76
    Pinecone £301,Valued Opinions £10.50

r 7 bags of books dropped off at Oxfam on Saturday. These were older books that most CS don't want but they were happy to take them. so 13 bags gone now. The bookshelves are looking 'looser' as there aren't as many books and that will only get better. I hope to actually get rid of a shelf by May.

Sorted out 23 items of clothing to either go to Charity shop or my neighbour. Bagged up and ready to leave by the front door with the others I sorted out recently.

I love this thread because it is so encouraging and is definitely making me get on with the sorting things out and tidying things up.

Ink pens, felt tip pens and pencils are next on my to do sorting list as I have loads and loads of them in various drawers and pots around the house.
