Speedy progress this morning as the builders took the roof of our kitchen and quick decisions had to be made
60 final old saucepan to skip
61-65 metal cooking implements to CS (getting new non metal ones to go with new saucepans)
66 ironing board to skip (it was broken and we do so little ironing we hadn't noticed)
67 - old extractor hood on last legs to skip
68 - old hob with only 2 working rings to skip
69 - 12 year old kitchen units and old worktop into skip!!
70 to 72 - dried up cleaning products at back of sink cupboard in bin
73 - mosaic I made years ago to bin
74 and 75 - out of date cooking oils to bin
Working on understairs cupboard today, which means admitting that many unused craft and DIY supplies need to go to CS and expecting OH to be unhappy that his golf clubs (unused for 12years) need to leave the house!"I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better." Paul Theroux0 -
I'm going to go for it this year..
Xmas stuff has added to the stuff in the house.
So out today.
1) door mat.
2) childs laurndry basket - she had 2 for some reason.
3 - 4) bathroom mats x 2 - they were looking grubby even after washing so out they go.
5) a broken umbrella.
Not counting as daily - paper for recycling.“You’re only here for a short visit.
Don’t hurry, don't worry and be sure to smell the flowers along the way.”Walter Hagen
Jar £440.31/£667.95 and Bank £389.67/£667.950 -
99 - a mug to a new work site. I will leave it there and won't be bringing it home even if I stop working there.
100- 109 catalogues into recycling and some work magazines of DH, which are all online.0 -
No result on getting the golf clubs, trolley, and assorted golf accessories out of the house! But did manage to shift some other stuff -
76-81 - old tins of paint that are dried up or not current colours to recycling centre
82 to 83 - 2 old scarves I don't wear to CS
84 to 86 - unused bike gloves, helmet, and saddle cover to CS
87- bin liner of old floor cement to skip
88 - old piece of skirting board to wood recycling
89 to 92 - 4 old bags I don't use to CS
Understairs cupboard is now a useable space and when you open the door nothing falls on you! Ironing board and iron are temporarily stored there until new kitchen is in, and lady in charity shop commented that OH had been in several times donating the last few weeks - suspect she thinks he has a crush on her!"I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better." Paul Theroux0 -
110-112 3 photo albums. I removed some photos but most i was happy, surprisingly, to throw away. I kept the best ones.0

340 to 347 Newspapers and ppw from school project
348 to 355 Cardboard folders, cards and ppw
356 to 362 Study cards
363 Travel-size shower gel
364 to 374 11 DVDs to charity shop
375 to 390 16 items of clothing to cs
391 Bracelet
392 Xmas headband
393 to 396 3 cheap necklaces and pair of earrings
397 to 400 Broken torches and batteries
And then back in DDs room to clear out some more - didn't itemise but lots of little stuff and a few big things, so counting this as 401 to 550. Aiming to redecorate this room soon, some new furniture required so need to keep it clear and it does look so much better with less in it. Funny, I don't really mind her clearing out clothing or even toys, but I really struggle with the books she wishes to dispose of. I know I'm a bookaholic, but I can get rid of my own without too much trouble, but don't like going through her disposal pile. I think it's because of all the reading-aloud-at-bedtime (and other times) memories, which we don't do now she's a teenagerOh well, Ebay etc and hope another family enjoys them as much as we have.
