Want to declutter 365 times this year. So here it goes already...

1 - Old batteries into Sainsbury's recycle box.
2 - Old glasses into Specsaver shop (hope they're not the ones my wife's still using ;))
3 - Bag of old video games + playing cards taken to the charity shop.

    Feels good.

    4 - Bag of books. (Probably 100+)
5 - All the old glass.
    6 - Duvet covers
    7 - Shawl
8 - Dozens of bits of clothing from the kids.

Way more than 8 items so far but got to keep the pressure on.

Another bag of books in the car for work (that makes 7 so far this year). I have already weeded out more books as I pass my shelves, and have started a new bag.

Kingsize quilt that was gifted to me now gifted to nephew.

If I continue like this I may actually make an impact by the end of the year :D

Driving through town earlier today I noticed the Oxfam has closed down! I always took my donations there as you got nectar points, but I'll have to start taking them somewhere else now! I've got a small bag ready to go, but plan to have some more by the end of the week!

And so you should be, Rootle. Encourage yourself by saying 2/52:)
You are now in the ‘Twilight Zone’ of decluttering. You pick one item to declutter & then spot something else that is an easy win declutter (like the cardboard).

I must admit to a big smile when I saw your post!

279 a hat box. I have no hats and can't imagine getting one in the foreseeable future!

Today DH and I both had the day off, and DD is home from university, and we didn't a lot of decluttering, tidying up the room that we call the back porch which is off the living room and which has been a storeroom since we moved in. One end is still full of boxes, but the other end now has a chair, an old toy box which make a nice table at the side, and my fairy lights are up there! It's only about 3 years since I first planned this....

    289 stuff binned - 10 things
    299 things recycled 6
305 14 things to the charity shop
319 two broken bike racks to the top
321 bag of old foam cushion pads went to the tip
322 three bottles of meths and similar
    325 6 more things binned
331 three old glasses to CS
334 one set of brandy glasses to CS
335 old glass bonbon dish to CS
336 two old miniatures of alcohol opened. One of them was undrinkable:-(
Meanwhile DH had another list going, two things to CS, 12 binned, 7 recycled and 6 taken to their rightful home.

    I make that 363.

We're off again tomorrow. There will be more!
