I'm not sure where to post this so please move if appropriate.
I've been using Norton Antivirus for years and each year have declined their kind offer of renewing the subscription for over twice the cost of simply allowing cover to run out and then purchasing it new.
This year I was doing the same but when the reminder popped up I went to the site and the price displayed for renewal was the same as for a new purchase. I've purchased at that price and the system shows my cover running to 2019. No hassle of deleting the software on multiple tablets, phones etc and reinstalling. Certainly worth checking if anybody finds themselves in the same situation.
Before anybody comments, I'm fully aware that there is free software out there but I am happy to continue with Norton.

You don't need to delete and re-install.
I do as you do in terms of buying a new install key however I never do reinstall.
At some point when I click on renew it gives me the option to fill in a new key number.
This I have already bought elsewhere usually amazon and it just goes though as normal with the new key now attached.
I think i have to login to my mynorton account during the process to attach the new key No to my account.
I then go though the same process on my other devices.0 -
wonder why some people are happy to pay for norton and for others its the first thing they bin???"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

For something like antivirus it's definitely a case of "Better the devil you know" for me. I've used Norton for years and never had a problem so I stick with it.0 -
Jesus wept.
As you have used it for years you likely have no idea how your pc would run without its horrors0
